In Attendance:

Brian Lendrum, Susan Ross, Ruth Lera, Joanne Jackson Johnson, Simone Rudge, Claire Rudge, Graham Rudge, Tom Rudge, Mary Girouard, Roland Girouard, Mary-El Kerr, Moe Boksa, Joseph, Cain

Meeting was called to order at 5:20 pm by Joanne Jackson Johnson.

Reports:

Joanne Jackson Johnson presented the president’s report covering the last year. Joanne Jackson Johnson moved and Brian Lendrum seconded her report. and it is appended to these minutes.

Simone Rudge presented the treasurer’s report covering the last year. Simone Rudge moved and Joanne Jackson Johnson seconded her report and it is appended to these minutes.

Election of Officers:

Brian Lendrum was appointed as chief election officer.

Joanne Jackson Johnson allowed her name to stand for the position of president. Brian Lendrum made 3 calls to the floor for further nominations. Joanne was acclaimed president for the next year.

Simone Rudge allowed her name to stand for the position of treasurer. Brian Lendrum made 3 calls to the floor for further nominations. Simone was acclaimed treasurer for the next year.

Tom Rudge allowed his name to stand for the position of secretary. Brian Lendrum made 3 calls to the floor for further nominations. Tom was acclaimed secretary for the next year.

Brian Lendrum was appointed as National representative for the chapter. Ruth Lera agreed to be trained in the position and will work on getting more articles from the Yukon submitted to the COG magazine.

Motion:

Signatories for the banking will remain the same as last year so no new motion is required.

Briefs:

The following people were to present briefs but could not be present. Their reports are appended to these minutes:

Also present and offering a brief presentation were:

Moe Boksa on the Growing up Organic Childcare initiative by COG

Joseph on Consider It Growing a new group trying to encourage more backyard farmers

Mary-El Kerr on the effects of having chefs attend Terra Madré meeting of Slow food communities in Italy

Ruth Lera submitted a final report for the project ‘Food From the Yukon, For the Yukon’.

Brian Lendrum submitted the interim report for the Growers of Organic Food on the ‘Legume Culture Study-Year Two(2006)’

Adjournment: Tom Rudge moved for adjournment at 6:30pm. The meeting was adjourned.
